CARE MINISTRY

The Prayer Chain is a designated group that prays for the church as a whole, but also for prayer requests made of the prayer chain specifically or made on the prayer request cards in the pews on Sundays. The Prayer Chain Team is also the support group for other prayer related ministries such as Prayer Shawl Ministry. The Prayer Chain Coordinator is Shirley Ardrey.

Care Response coordinates emergency outreach, as well as support, to church members and constituents in times of need (e.g., coordination of meals after major events such as births, deaths, surgeries). VisiCare is a visitation contact care ministry making regular visits to the hospital, shut-ins, retirement/nursing homes, and homes. TeleCare is a telephone contact care ministry making regular contact with shut-in members, as well as active members of the congregation, sharing Christian love and concern for their well-being.

Health Care, led by Parish Nurse Jennifer Miller, is available to answer basic medical questions as well as to conduct blood pressure and immunization clinics throughout the year based on their medical experience. Jennifer can be reached here.
